Today, I wish I were lounging in a pizza parlor with good friends and nothing to do, enjoying the final days of summer and the onset of fall. A proper pizza parlor, with clunky booths and dark wood and dim lighting cast by hanging glass-shaded lamps, beer in pitchers, and arcade games in a side room. Maybe a pool table.
After a day spent gorging on pizza with a ton of toppings, we’d have a campfire and go night swimming at a lake to burn off all of the greasy cheese and bread, and probably camp out. One last gasp of summer before the world returned in the fall.
Irrelevant, of course, now that I’m no longer in school. But that’s what I want. Who’s in?
